20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios' Robots was in the post today. The plot's a little light - basically your average small-town hero goes to the big city and saves it from the evil business thang - and the casting is from the school of famous names variety. However the animation is gorgeous and it rattles along nicely enough within it's limitations. I'll give it a B.

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy: the problem, I think, with compressing what took several episodes on both radio and TV into one film is that they had to cut a lot - what is perplexing is why they cut most of the punchlines. Worse, is that I remember then and was filling them in as they went along. If it wasn't for prior knowledge, it would probably be a half-way decent film. I did like the tributes to the original Marvin and Simon Jones as the warning voice at Magrathea was a nice touch too. C+

Hotel Rwanda: you should see this if you haven't already. A+
